Administration

Who to write to, and what happens to what you send.

How the office runs

The firm is run by its proprietor with a small team. Every incoming letter, e-mail and order is recorded with a date and a reference, and every outgoing one carries a dispatch number. That is how something sent to us can be traced later.

Quotations and orders

A quotation carries a number and a validity date. An order accepted against it carries the same reference right through to the invoice, so the paper trail is one line, not three.

Invoices

Invoices are numbered per financial year and never re-used. An issued invoice is never rewritten — if it is wrong it is cancelled and a fresh one is issued, so your books and ours agree.

Records and privacy

Drawings, rates and business information you send us are not shown to anyone else. We keep only what we need, and we do not store full bank account numbers on any system.
